After doing a bit more reading about Maselli I discovered that his sublime photographs of the mountains were layered and constructed in Photoshop to increase the features and depth of the photographs. I thought that I would give this a go with a few photographs that I had already taken. I found an image that I wanted to use as my foreground, then I layered images behind and decreased the opacity to give the perception that the hills were further away. I dont think I did a very good job at this. I think that the main issue was that I was using seas scapes and landscapes. I struggled to blend the parts where the sea and land joined which, if it was successful then I think would create a well constructed sublime image. This is something that I may return to in the future of the project as it allows me to control and create a world for my viewer. This gives me the control to pass my notion of silence onto the viewer and take them into a world that has been constructed by my meditated experiences in the landscape.
