Original Lightroom Edit
Here is an edit that I completed after being inspired by Gregory Crewdson. I found some Youtube tutorials on adding a cinematic feel to my image, with adding light, the moon and light rays. This is not something that I have done much of so am pretty happy with the outcome of the final image. The image of the moon is something that I added into the photograph from a stock image. I think that I have blended them well, however looking back on it, it could have done with some clouds in front of it to push it back into the image more. In the original image, it was the sun that was lighting up the field in the middle of the image, in post, I then added the light rays to add more emphasis on the light that is shining out of the sky.
The editing process took some time, I used a little bit of knowledge from each of the videos below to create this image. Following a Youtube video alongside editing made the process easier as I was not having to guess the effects that I wanted to add to my image. I don’t usually spend that long editing one image in Photoshop, so it has opened my eyes to a new way of working and the possibilities of my editing skills going into the future with this project.
